Press Brake TrainingNumerous products are made by fabricating sheet metal parts with a series of bends. The press brake is the most common machine tool used to bend sheet metal. Press brakes applying significant force via mechanical and/or hydraulic components that shape the sheet metal between a matching punch and die that close together. Most press brake operations are done manually, which requires proper skill and safety considerations.
These classes address the basic principles necessary for safe operation of the press brake. The class content first addresses the major components of the press brake and its most common machine tool designs, as well as surveying the most common types of bends performed on the press brake. Intermediate-level classes focus on the proper methods for performing quality, defect-free bends, and also cover the specifications and ratings used to measure the capacity of a press brake.
