Department Overview
Department Name: Rigging Department
Number of Classes: 5

Department Description
Rigging TrainingPractically every production environment requires people on the floor to safely move heavy loads within the facility. This could include moving a large workpiece, transporting raw material, or installing equipment. Even though rigging takes place in almost every environment, these tasks must be done safely and with the right equipment to avoid injury.
These rigging classes cover the common equipment used to move loads, such as cable, chains, slings and hoists, as well as the safety practices required in the shop. Additional classes focus on load calculations and proper inspection of rigging equipment.
