Every workplace requires an understanding of the essential safety practices that help employees to avoid potential hazards. Although every workplace is unique, there are common safety topics that apply to a wide range of industries and occupations. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) offers guidelines and valuable information enabling employers to maintain a safe working environment for every employee.
These classes provide an overview of the major safety topics relevant to manufacturing companies and also identify OSHA requirements that may affect the employer or employee. While other Tooling University departments may contain safety classes specific to a particular process, these classes provide a general foundation of safety information that is relevant for every individual in the workplace.
