Tooling U-SME’s pre-apprenticeship focused Accelerated Advanced Manufacturing Program (click to download PDF) allows you to educate students and workforce trainees in the basic, foundational skills for advanced manufacturing and enables them to choose a specialized career pathway. We partner with the American Job Center Network, community colleges and workforce development agencies nationwide to deliver online curriculum in the advanced manufacturing sector that:

  • Builds a pipeline of skilled workers
  • Aligns with nationally recognized industry credentials
  • Provides opportunities for dislocated workers
  • Educates and energizes at-risk youth
  • Advances and supports our veterans

The Apprenticeship Acceleration Program is a flexible model that allows educators to customize the framework and identify and track the RTI (Related Training Instruction) and OJT (On-the-Job Training) required for apprenticeship education. Key benefits include:

  • Tooling U-SME partners with Department of Labor (DOL) state apprenticeship offices, education, workforce agencies, and the manufacturing community to build capacity and provide workforce education to fill the skills gap
  • This program will help manufacturers evaluate worker performance levels to recruit and develop a highly skilled workforce, ensuring enterprise-wide consistency and making your workforce more flexible and dynamic, ultimately reducing labor costs
  • This program helps mentors use competency-based indicators to accurately evaluate worker performance levels, which reduces subjective assessment.
  • The OJT and RTI provide a direct path to feed the talent pipeline within the manufacturing community
