The Right Evaluation. The True Confirmation of Results.
Tooling U-SME doesn't see manufacturing training and professional development as a means for "making money." We're doing this to make a real and substantial difference. Every success we have as an organization is an opportunity for us to better serve the manufacturing industry.
Consequently, we are closely tied to the SME Education Foundation, whose mission is to prepare the next generation of manufacturing engineers and technologists through outreach programs that encourage students to study Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) as well as Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) education.
The Foundation provides scholarships to students pursuing manufacturing engineering and engineering technology degrees. During its 30 year history, The SME Education Foundation has:
- Invested $5.3 million in youth programs, helping over 15,000 to explore career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.
- Granted-funded over $4.7 million in scholarships to students pursuing manufacturing-related careers.
- Invested $17.3 million in grants to 35 colleges and universities to develop industry-driven curricula.
We are proud to serve the manufacturing industry. Manufacturing is our passion, and we’re in it for the long haul.
