New Look, New Confidence for Tooling U
Tooling U is excited to unveil a new look, logo, and branding initiative. Over the years, we have gained increasing knowledge of the role we play in providing solutions for manufacturers. Companies are increasingly recognizing that a knowledgeable, skilled workforce is crucial for "competing with confidence" in a global market. Competitiveness begins with expertise, and the people of the company transform that expertise into quality products.

We are proud to help manufacturers gain a competitive edge through effective training. Consequently, you'll see the slogan "Confidence to Compete" in our new materials, along with a logo that ties together the essential components of manufacturing, employees, innovation, and knowledge. We hope you agree that this is a refreshing change for our brand.

Training Topics for 2008
Tooling U strives to offer training that is most relevant for manufacturers. We recently surveyed our customers and key prospects to determine our development calendar for 2008, on topics ranging from soft skills, to hydroforming, to gear hobbing, and nondestructive testing.

The results are in! Based on our respondents, these key topics generated the most interest:

  • Employability Skills for New Hires
  • Supervisory Skills for Manufacturing
  • Hard Turning
  • Senior Management/Leadership Skills
  • Grinding: Tool Grinding
  • Grinding: CNC

Keep in mind that these topics will differ in the breadth of material and may require development beyond 2008. Stay tuned as we refine this feedback and determine specific class titles for development. Most importantly, we sincerely thank everyone that took the time to provide us with this invaluable feedback.

New Spanish Classes and Assessments
Tooling U now offers 150+ titles in Spanish. Our latest class offerings include a completed GE Fanuc Control Department. We also released three job-specific assessments tailored to CNC Operators, Welders, and Stamping Press Operators. These Spanish-language assessments produce customized training curriculums tailored to address each individual's baseline knowledge.
