Tooling U Website: New Upgrades

New Classes
There are six new classes available to Tooling U subscribers as of June 2008. Our new adhesive classes help to boost our increasing catalog of assembly-related material. Assembly involves much more than torquing a fastener, and these classes address the different types of adhesive materials, proper surface prep, and the curing process for ensuring a good bond.

These classes include:

  • Intro to Adhesive Bonding 110
  • Basics of the Bonding Process 120
  • Intro to Adhesive Properties 130
  • Types of Adhesives 140
  • Surface Preparation 210
  • Steps for Adhesive Application 220

Tooling U Tip of the Month
Use TU Points to motivate and engage your students or employees.  Points are awarded for completing and passing classes, time spent in class and various other factors.  Challenge groups to a "points race."  The first group to 1,000 points receives a pizza party.
