An update from our
content department
The content team at Tooling University is
working hard to develop new interactive exercises for all our classes. These
Flash-based interactive tools engage the student while reinforcing class
material with images, text, and sound. Tooling University has received such a
positive response from our initial efforts with these tools that we are now
including even more exercises per class to optimize the interactive experience.
Current departments that feature the new exercises include the Electrical,
Hydraulic, and Mechanical Systems departments, as well as the new Soldering
department. Look for these interactive exercises to appear in all TU
classes soon!

Construct a simple vise fixture
for nesting and locating parts. (See example photo)
 The
basic concept of this fixture is it precisely locates itself in the vise slot
via the protruding legs, which eliminates the need for additional stops or
clamps. The upper end of this fixture is cut in the form of a V-block, however,
this end may be cut to any shape to suit the job.
