Coming Soon to
Tooling University
New Soldering Classes
Tooling University will be releasing a series of new soldering classes before
the end of the year. This new material will focus on proper manual soldering
methods for technicians involved in custom applications or repair work. With
these new classes, individuals can learn how to properly use common soldering
equipment and also brush up on how to effectively work with lead-free
materials.
New Motor Control Classes
Tooling University has started developing new Motor Control classes. These new
classes build on the training currently offered in our Electrical Systems
classes and are geared toward maintenance professionals. With these new
classes, individuals will be able to read the symbols and specs contained in
ladder diagrams and other prints, and will learn about the function and
troubleshooting of common motor control components such as control devices,
solenoids, starters, timers, and counters.
New Training for 2007 – Mazatrol Controls and PLCs
Tooling University is getting ready to kick off the New Year with two new and
exciting training initiatives. For CNC machine operators, we plan to offer new
classes on the Mazatrol Control. These classes will provide interactive
control-specific training for machine operators using Mazak CNC machines. By
taking these classes, individuals can learn how to enter and adjust offsets,
load and execute programs, and perform other key tasks via conversational
programming.
For maintenance professionals, we plan to offer PLC applications training.
These classes will cover a wide range of topics including binary and
hexadecimal conversions, input/output devices, programming with ladder logic,
using timers and counters, and much more. Our eventual goal is to provide
brand-specific training material that will help professionals maintain and
troubleshoot real-world devices and systems.
