Online Webcast:
Join us on Tuesday, May 2nd at 2:00 PM EDT for an
online seminar: The How’s & Why’s of CNC Tool Grinding.
One of the easiest ways to
lowering your cost per part is to increase the speed at which you machine that
part. But how do you get cutting tools that enable the fastest machining? Simon
Manns of Walter Grinders talks about the trade-offs involved in outsourcing all
your tooling versus taking tool grinding in-house. Plus he'll cover the
differences between manual and CNC tool grinding. Topics include:
-
Uncovering the real cost of outsourcing tooling
-
Manually ground tools versus CNC ground tools: Cycle times, quality, &
geometry
-
Is CNC tool grinding becoming easier?
-
Buyer Beware? What to look out for when buying a tool grinder
Attend If You’re:
-
Looking for ways to maximize cutting speeds and flexibility
-
Having concerns about your tool geometries or quality
-
Considering another tool grinder
-
Looking for ways to decrease tooling costs
