April 25 Marks Tooling U Launch
At the end of March, Jergens Inc. launched the preview of Tooling U at the WESTEC show in Los Angeles. Effective April 25, 2001, students can visit www.toolingu.com to take classes.
Ads for Tooling U appear in the April issues of Modern Machine Shop Guide to Metalworking on the Internet (a special supplement) as well as Manufacturing Engineering. At the WESTEC show, the Tooling U staff provided site tours to editors from Modern Machine Shop, American Machinist, Manufacturing Engineering, Forming & Fabricating and a handful of others. In addition, many potential students stopped by to learn more about Tooling U. Since the show, we have received several inquiries from large corporations interested in training their employees. Community colleges have also expressed an interest in expanding or complementing their current course offerings with Tooling University classes. As you may recall yourself, they were impressed with the relevant content and the administrative features Tooling University offers.
Our doors are now open for students. Classes are available now or soon for Workholding, Metal Cutting and CNC.
In the next few months, the Tooling U Team will be adding Metal Forming, Material Handling and Materials departments. Watch for even more this summer.
If someone else at your organization may be interested in receiving this newsletter, please let us know via email at info@toolingu.com.
Our initial class list appears below. Thank you for your interest and ongoing commitment to training.
