– Tooling University, a provider of online manufacturing training, has introduced job-specific training programs ideal for industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, defense, medical, and oil and gas. Job-specific training programs allow Tooling University students to focus on gaining the knowledge base required for specific job responsibilities. Each program includes a comprehensive skills assessment test to determine base knowledge, a recommended sequence of training classes, and corporate access to the administration center for tracking student performance.
Tooling University has defined class sequences for more than 20 job titles, including CNC Operator for the lathe and mill, CNC Programmer, Press Operator, Production Grinder, Quality/Lean Manager, and Sales Engineer. “In the real world, employers are looking to train job titles. With the job-specific programs, employers can focus their employees on the complete scope of a job in any department”, said Chad Schron, Vice President of Tooling University.
The new job-specific programs can be customized to further meet training needs. According to Schron, “Companies can customize everything from the skills assessment test to the sequence of classes.” Tooling University offers over 250 classes from which customers can create their own training packages.
Tooling University provides online training courses for people in the manufacturing industry. These courses are delivered through a powerful Learning Management System (LMS) that allows companies to assess training needs and track performance. Tooling University offers general training classes, as well as custom-created material for Fortune 500 manufacturers.
