Cleveland, OH – Tooling University, a provider of online manufacturing training, has developed a series of maintenance-related training classes for industrial maintenance professionals. The maintenance classes are separated into categories, including Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems and Hydraulics/Pneumatics. Tooling University plans to follow with additional training classes focused on PLCs and Motor Controls.

Tooling University’s new maintenance offerings currently include more than 35 separate class titles, with new titles added each month. "Manufacturers are having a difficult time finding training for their maintenance people. Because our classes are online, we can help companies offer a flexible and accessible training program," said Chad Schron, Vice President of Tooling University.

Maintenance professionals can take this new training as part of a package built around their job titles. According to Schron, "We make sure companies can offer a complete training package by combining maintenance-specific classes with more general classes from Safety, Math/Print Reading, and Quality. We now group our classes by job titles such as Industrial Electrician or Maintenance for Industrial Machinery."

Tooling University provides a wide range of online training courses for people in the manufacturing industry. These courses are delivered through a powerful Learning Management System (LMS) that allows companies to assess training needs and track performance. In addition to the new maintenance titles, Tooling University offers training packages for mill/lathe operators, press operators, and assemblers, as well as custom-created training material for Fortune 500 manufacturers.
