– Tooling University, a provider of online manufacturing training, is pleased to announce the promotion of James Vickers to Director of Sales. His responsibilities include managing the Regional Sales Managers across the country, as well as hiring new inside and outside sales representatives. In addition, Mr. Vickers will set the sales goals and quotas for all the company's sales reps.
Mr. Vickers joined Tooling University in 2003 as a Regional Sales Manager for the Great Lakes Region. He then rose to East Coast Director of Sales before quickly becoming the Director of Sales for the entire U.S.
"James has been a key part of Tooling U's success. He has been with Tooling U longer than any of the other sales reps and has seen the company grow. He's been directly selling for the last four years, so he really understands the salesperson's needs and has a significant amount of experience to share with them," said Chad Schron, Vice President of Tooling University.
Mr. Vickers has a background in selling manufacturing and received an engineering degree from West Virginia University. Added Schron, "James' unique experience will be valuable in leading Tooling University's sales team."
Tooling University provides a wide range of online training courses for people in the manufacturing industry. These courses are delivered through a powerful Learning Management System (LMS) that allows companies to assess training needs and track performance. Tooling University offers training packages for mill/lathe operators, press operators, maintenance personnel, and assemblers, as well as custom-created training material for Fortune 500 manufacturers.
