– Tooling University, a provider of online manufacturing training, has developed a new series of soldering classes for industrial assemblers and maintenance/repair professionals. These soldering classes are organized according to difficulty level and address common soldering equipment, proper safety precautions, manual soldering techniques, and the properties of lead-free solders.
Because Tooling University organizes training material according to job-specific categories, these classes will appear in both the "Electrical Assembler" and "Electrician: Maintenance" job titles. "We currently offer a substantial catalog of training titles, so our new Soldering classes will blend nicely with other relevant subject areas such as quality, inspection, electrical systems, and others," said Chad Schron, Vice President of Tooling University.
An important trend in soldering is the move toward lead-free solder materials. According to Schron, "our content development team works with industry experts to develop our online training material. That's why we're able to provide information that is completely up-to-date and relevant for today's manufacturing professionals."
Tooling University provides a wide range of online training courses for people in the manufacturing industry. These courses are delivered through a powerful Learning Management System (LMS) that allows companies to assess training needs and track performance. In addition to the new soldering titles, Tooling University offers training packages for mill/lathe operators, and press operators, as well as custom-created training material for Fortune 500 manufacturers.
