Manufacturing is one of the greatest and most progressive industries in society, playing an integral role in creating productivity, stimulating research and development, and spurring economic growth. Since the Industrial Revolution, manufacturing processes have changed dramatically, and today we are in the midst of a renaissance that promises to help the sector remain the lifeblood of many economies. With advancements in areas such as Industry 4.0, the sky is the limit for the industry we value so much.

Tooling U-SME is proud to be part of such a dynamic sector, and we look forward to making history ourselves, providing unrivaled learning and development solutions to the industry’s key competitive advantage for companies, communities and nations – the workforce.

Tooling U-SME

As 2017 comes to an end, we at Tooling U-SME want to thank our friends, customers, and partners for an incredible year. The past 12 months have been quite busy for us, as we’ve achieved some major accomplishments, while training tens of thousands of companies, schools and individuals to learn, grow and develop new skills.

This year, we launched 50 new classes across the manufacturing portfolio, released a new white paper on Lean principles and methodologies, and introduced the additive manufacturing industry’s first certification program, “Additive Manufacturing Fundamentals,” and its follow up program “Additive Manufacturing Technician Certification.”

We’ve formed several strategic collaborations that help us further strengthen the skills and opportunities for the manufacturing workforce. Our alliances with America Makes, the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, the National Institute for Metalworking Skills, the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation, and CNA are all essential to our commitment to expanding workforce education for professionals already employed in the industry and the next generation preparing for their future careers.

I look forward to what we will accomplish in the new year as we continue to forge alliances with key stakeholders in the manufacturing community, introduce more industry-leading solutions and continue to enhance our extensive offerings of learning and development resources.

On behalf of the employees at Tooling U-SME, we hope you enjoy this holiday season with your family, friends and loved ones, and we wish you a joyous, safe, and prosperous New Year!
